Structural Design Group provides consulting structural engineering services for healthcare, educational, hospitality, multi-family, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities located throughout the United States.

Leadership

SDG was founded in Nashville in June of 1999 by a group of structural engineers who had worked together for many years. The current leadership group has expanded as the company has grown and the principal engineers all now share in the day-to-day operation of the firm. Each brings their own individual strengths and interests to give the firm a broad range of knowledge and experience.

Capability

SDG has grown to be one of the largest structural engineering firms in Tennessee designing large, complex projects with construction values in excess of $500 million and employing almost 50 engineers, structural modelers, and administrative personnel, with an average of 14 years’ experience each.

We have 17 licensed engineers, 7 of whom hold the more stringent registration of Structural Engineer (SE). Almost all of our design engineers hold Masters degrees, having graduated from some of the most respected engineering programs in the country. Professional registration is held in 49 states.
