Capital Regional Medical Center

About This Project

2003

A 6-story, 325,000-square foot, steel framed replacement facility with 198 all private patient rooms. The tower was designed for one-story of vertical expansion. The exterior skin of the building consists of a combination of precast and brick veneer. The structure is supported by auger cast-in-place concrete piles. The hospital features expanded Women’s Diagnostic Services, ExpressCare Emergency Services, a Robotic Pharmacy, Digital Radiology Services, a Heart Center, Same-Day Surgery Facilities, and Specialized Inpatient Care Units.

2014

SDG is also designing a 2014, one-story vertical expansion of the existing Capital Regional Medical Center. The expansion will add the seventh floor to the existing tower. The existing roof/penthouse floor level will be incorporated into a mechanical floor with the existing penthouse roofs being the new 7th floor. The addition will have a precast exterior to match the existing facility. The approximate new square footage for the project is 30,778 square feet.
