03 Feb Drew Hatton, S.E.
Drew has been with SDG since 2012. He earned a Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 2011, where he also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2008. Drew received the Senior Leadership Award in Civil Engineering from the Robe Leadership Institute and was a member of the Chi Epsilon Honor Society while at Ohio University.
Drew has over 10 years of experience in the design of a variety of structural systems for healthcare and a wide range of other project types. He holds both a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and a Structural Engineer (S.E.) license. Drew is an Associate Committee Member of the industry standard publication ASCE 7 – Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures, serving on the Main Committee and Wind Loads Subcommittee. He’s also a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Structural Engineers Association of Tennessee.
Drew also serves as SDG’s Engineering Technology Manager overseeing the development of internal design software and for implementing and educating our staff on the effective use of our engineering software, including REVIT.
