SDG believes in providing consummate client service and principal-level client contact and involvement in all projects.

We strive to be at the forefront of this highly-specialized profession by having knowledgeable, qualified personnel and equipping them with advanced design software and technology and opportunities for continuing education in order to keep pace with design code revisions and new construction practices. We encourage our employees to have an open mind and be willing to learn and expand their knowledge base in order to provide clients with innovative, economical design solutions.

Education

We provide frequent opportunities for our engineers and modelers to engage in continual learning through a variety of seminars hosted within our offices and attendance at professional conferences. Participation on national technical and code committees is encouraged to enhance the engineer’s expertise and to be apprised of technical developments.

Our engineers have served on technical committees of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Applied Technology Council, the Masonry Society, and the National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program.

Communication

We believe successful projects stem from effective communication amongst all members of the project team. We value a long history of close, personal relationships with our clients and with other consultants, and feel these relationships are a key element in facilitating communication and teamwork. We believe understanding the needs of our clients and being responsive to those needs are vitally important components of our business. We truly believe that Consulting Engineering is a service business.
