The addition to the First Baptist Church on Broadway in downtown Nashville is a 4-story structure with a footprint of approximately 20,000 square feet for a new Fellowship Hall, a 500-seat worship center, education spaces, an outdoor chapel overlooking Broadway, and a coffee shop. The new addition will have parking on the first two levels, with the remaining levels used for classroom/office space and a gymnasium with a running track and locker rooms. The building will be a steel-reinforced, concrete structure. The existing sanctuary is also being reconditioned and refreshed including new seating, new flooring, improved audio and visual support and a platform area large enough for an orchestra, all honoring the architectural integrity of the beautiful Sanctuary.
